About - Maison Rose is described as a boutique café situated in the beautiful town of Market Bosworth. It is licensed and open Tuesday to Sunday serving breakfast, light lunches, cakes and afternoon teas.
'"The Main Event".....Our Brunch Menu is available Monday-Saturday 10-1pm, Sunday 10-3pm. The lunch menu is available Tuesday-Saturday 12-4pm, Monday 12-3pm. We also accommodate for all dietary requirements & have a choice of vegan options. "The House Of Bubbles & Brunch"....Maison Rose is a licensed boutique cafe offering a selection of Gins, Prosecco & bottled beer, along with a wide selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolates, frappes, smoothies & cold drinks. "Take Maison Rose Away With You" Whether your going for a walk on the park with your dog or your sat in your office at work pop over to Maison Rose and treat yourself to a take away, we have a selection of breakfast brioches, light lunches, salads, cakes & drinks. Afternoon Tea is served Thursday- Sunday 1-3pm. Booking Is essential. "Something Sweet" We have the most delicious cakes & patisseries around!!
The visit - From the exterior Maison Rose doesn't disappoint. The exterior is framed with swathes of flowers and picks up the pink in these through the tables, chairs, window frames and panted bike and the décor continues from the picturesque outside, right throughout the interior as well. On the 19th August they celebrated their first year in business and it is easy to see their success - when I visited it was fully booked, both inside and out.
An apology was offered and we were made aware that they did a take away service. Even though the tables outside were occupied, there is a bench less than ten footsteps away, so we made this our location for our take away Maison Rose treats.
The cabinet the showcases the cakes and patisseries was full and had a wide range of choices from cheesecakes, macarons, to scones and slices of cake - this is to name just some of the selection on the day we visited. There was also a small ice cream freezer with a delicious selection of ice cream on offer.
When you are not admiring the cakes on offer there is a very 'Instagramable'' wall of flowers - it is calling out for a few photos to remind you of your visit, if you are lucky enough to get a table! Note to self - book ahead of time.
There was something to please everyone in the group including a scone, cookie, giant macaroon and for me it was the sticky toffee cake. This was moist and flavoursome and went well with the americano. I would have liked my coffee a little stronger, but this may be down to the generous sized take away coffee cup used. As we were sat, enjoying the views of the square it was nice to see lots of customers arriving for the afternoon tea bookings, many dressed up and clearly ready to spend quality time with friends and family in the delightful surroundings of Maison Rose.
Will I be back? - Yes I will be back - this is a lovely place to visit for a treat or for a celebration event. It would certainly wow any visitors you bought with you!
Extra touches - The napkins are the best quality disposable napkins that I have ever experienced!! They are pink, of course, and feel almost like the linen napkins you sometimes get in restaurants - sometimes it is the small attention to detail which counts. There are several tables outside, which is great for the better weather.
Facilities - There is a bathroom in the restaurant up a set of stairs.
